Clothing dispatch accuracy

The Savile Row Company is a leading purveyor of luxury menswear. As well as producing quality garments for other distinguished brands, the company also carries a prestigious own label collection which is sold direct to the public and available in its prestigious Central London store on Savile Row.

A paper-based system was unable to provide the level of accuracy required for the picking and packing procedures at the company’s main manufacturing facility in Castledawson in Northern Ireland, due to increased business. A system using labelling design and printing software was introduced to ensure the accuracy of orders before despatching.

The system, which has virtually eliminated returns and improved productivity, creates the functionality to check that the items being packed are the correct mix of product for a given sales order and create a contents label. Once packed, the system produces a final box end label to go onto each box, which details the size, colour and quantity of the products inside.

Since its installation, the software has virtually eliminated errors, increased efficiency and ultimately improved our relationship with the customer.
