Introduction
Welcome to the AIDC website.
AIDC was established as a not-for-profit organisation in 2007 with funding from the European Union and Yorkshire Forward, the regional development agency. The principal role of AIDC was to establish itself as one of Europe's leading Not-for-Profit Organisations that specialises in helping industry and the public sector stay abreast of, and implement, technology and policy developments that drive service improvements and efficiencies. We now work in four main areas:
- We operate a technical consultancy arm which works with businesses from across the UK to help them implement that technology to bring about business benefits.
- We play a leading role in a range of EU projects promoting the adoption of AIDC technologies. These currently include WAVE, RACE and Bright Animal.
- We actively support the public sector in the UK by working with local authorities to help them realise some of the citizen related benefits of adopting AIDC technology. This includes the development of city centre and urban issues.
- We are one of the leading independant testing bodies ensuring compliance with major standards such as those implemented by LASSeO.
Within this website you will find examples of the different technology we are developing as well as a range of case studies showing how this technology has been applied to help businesses improve their processes, reduce costs and improve customer service. You will also find up-to-date news about AIDC technology, as well as events and training which can help you develop your business.
Remember, AIDC is committed to helping businesses understand how they can benefit from the application of AIDC technology. If there is more information you would like to see, or if you have suggestions as to how we can improve this site, then please let us know by completing our contact form.
