(AIDC) Centre for Wales.

The Centre is run by Hywel Williams. Hywel has significant experience in commercial exploitation of IT. He spent seven years as a systems analyst with a steel company in the early days of on-line processing, and many years as Systems Director of a computer services company in Bristol, which coincided with the move from mainframes to networks, as well as a spell as a self-employed technical consultant. From 2005 – 2007 he ran a project at the University of Wales Newport on Enterprise Resource Planning during which time the need for automating identity and data collection in able to satisfy the volume and accuracy of data required by modern IT systems become even more apparent. He now runs the AIDC Centre for Wales based at Glamorgan University. The Centre for Wales is a regional affiliate to the AIDC European Centre of Excellence. Hywel is an MBA, and has Membership status of both the Chartered Management Institute, and the British Computer Society. He is a Chartered Information Technology Practitioner and a Chartered Engineer.
